🗣️Effective communication is often misunderstood as simply waiting for your turn to speak, but it’s much deeper than that. Listening to understand—especially when you disagree—requires patience, empathy, and a willingness to engage with another person’s perspective, not just react. Reading the room is a crucial part of this too; it’s about being aware of the context, body language, and emotional tone, not just focusing on the words being spoken. When we communicate with the intent to understand rather than to respond or “keep it real” at all costs, we create space for more meaningful and constructive conversations.
